My First Day on the Blog

I'm so nervous. I worried that I'm going to sound arrogant. I just want to share my thoughts with a few friends. Typing, retyping and deleting then retyping again. I'm telling myself, it's not a big deal. What's the worse that could happen? Nobody comes and reads my blog. But I want my blog to be fun, informative and full of personality.

Being a Makeup Artist for over 10 years now, I have had my share fair of constantly being in peoples faces. Like Wendy Williams says "How you Doin?'". Now I'm afraid of writing a few words on a blog. That sounds silly, huh? Well, that's how I feel; its how I see it. And some would possibly say that is what this blogging experience is all about.... an expression of views on topics that interest you the reader or me the blogger. My areas of expertise: Fashion, Makeup Artistry, Entertainment and of course living the Fabulous Life of Luxury "Lusso".

Growing up in Los Angeles, all you see is the glitz and glamour. So it's natural that I would want to be what my friends and I call 'Oh So Hollywood'. My parents didn't understand my passion for makeup. "Being a Makeup Artist is not a REAL job" was something I often heard from alot of people. I was born with an eyeliner pencil in one hand, lipgloss and mascara in the other and an halo around my head. There are lot of excellent Professional Makeup Artist that don't have 'Hollywood' clients. Does that mean that they aren't REAL makeup artist? I do not need recognition from Hollywood to determine my self worth as a Makeup Artist. I sometimes get offended when people ask me "What celebrities have you done"? Um...celebrities aren't the only ones that enjoy wearing makeup. Duh? Instead, I smile and reply, "None. I like to focus on us common folks". When the laughter stops, they are instantly draw into my personality. They begin to really focus in on my skills and the real questions begin to roll on in.
